Serena Williams’ husband detailed his diagnosis on X (formerly Twitter) on July 16. In a series of posts, the Reddit co-founder explained that bloodwork confirmed the presence of Lyme disease, despite his lack of symptoms. “Doing a full battery of health scans, tests, etc., and found out I have Lyme disease,” Ohanian wrote, adding it was “wild” to be diagnosed without any symptoms but reassuring that he would undergo treatment.

Ohanian—married to Serena Williams since 2017 and father to two children—also mentioned a loved one who had struggled with Lyme disease and was successfully treated.
