Billionaire Mike Lynch and his 18-year-old daughter, Hannah, were tragically found dead after their superyacht, *Bayesian*, sank off the coast of Sicily on August 21, 2024. The yacht was struck by a rare “black swan” waterspout, leading to its devastating sinking. Lynch, known as “Britain’s Bill Gates,” and his daughter were discovered in the wreckage, “between mattresses” on the sunken vessel.

The tragedy occurred shortly after Lynch celebrated his legal victory over the $10.9 billion sale of his tech company, Autonomy, to Hewlett-Packard. In addition to Lynch and his daughter, two other bodies were recovered from the yacht, though their identities remain unconfirmed. A fifth body is still trapped inside the wreck.
