Born on August 28, 1938, in Ocean City, NJ, Marla’s journey in entertainment began in New York City, where she attended The American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Her Broadway debut in the late 1950s and roles like “Splendor in the Grass” showcased her exceptional talent.

From 1968 to 1974, Marla won hearts as Belle Clemens on “The Secret Storm,” but it was her role as Dina Abbott Mergeron in “The Young and the Restless” that made her a household name. Her portrayal was so memorable that she made several guest appearances over the years. Reflecting on her role, Marla once said, “It was the most astonishing and amazing part I had ever played.”

Tributes have poured in from fans worldwide. One fan expressed, “Fantastic as Dina! Rest in peace, Marla Adams. You will be missed by ‘The Young and the Restless’ fans.” Another admired her immense talent, stating, “OMG, how sad. Really liked this Emmy winner. Take it easy.”
