According to Cancer.Net, individuals with PJS face a high lifetime cancer risk, reaching up to 93 percent. Dr. Stuart Fischer warns that the sores are precancerous and demand immediate attention to prevent potential aggression.

Immunologist Dr. Gabe Mirkin emphasizes the urgency for tests and therapy. Despite not treating Russell, Mirkin believes PJS might be responsible for the actor’s condition.
